SVG Tiny P/S Test Corpus

The makeBIMI SVG Tiny P/S Test Corpus is a versioned set of small SVG fixtures for developers, validator authors, and implementation teams. Each fixture has an expected result, stable rule identifiers, byte size, and primary-source links.

It is an implementation aid. It does not certify a logo, predict whether a mailbox provider will display it, or replace a receiver’s own review.

How to use the corpus

Download the manifest and run each fixture through your implementation. Compare the result with the fixture’s expected_outcome and rule_ids. Keep profile conformance results separate from receiver-specific guidance.

A passing SVG Tiny P/S fixture does not guarantee a BIMI logo will display. Mailbox providers can apply additional requirements, including DMARC policy, certificate, trademark, DNS, image, and operational checks.

Fixture outcomes

Outcome Meaning
pass The fixture is intended to satisfy the listed evidence-bound profile rules.
fail The fixture intentionally violates the listed rule or rules.
informational-pass The profile rules pass and the fixture demonstrates optional information, such as an accessibility description.
receiver-guidance-warning The fixture isolates documented receiver-specific guidance. It is not described as a universal SVG Tiny P/S failure.

root-y fail The root <svg> element has a y attribute.
script-element fail A script element is present.
animation-element fail An animation element is present.
image-element fail An image element is present.
anchor-link fail A link element is present.
external-use-reference fail A use element points to an external document.

Scope and limits

The corpus follows the BIMI Group’s public SVG P/S guidance, including the required baseProfile="tiny-ps", version="1.2", and root-level title. It also separates documented Gmail image guidance from general profile rules. The IETF SVG Tiny P/S Internet-Draft is useful technical context, but it is a work in progress; source links are retained in the manifest so implementers can review the current materials directly. 1 2 3

The corpus is intentionally conservative. It does not claim to be an authoritative schema, a Verified Mark Certificate test, an inbox-placement test, or a receiver-acceptance guarantee.

Versioning and feedback

The current release is v1.0.0. Fixture IDs and JSON field names are stable within the major version. Future releases will document changed fixtures, rule identifiers, source references, and compatibility notes in the manifest.

If you maintain a validator or use the corpus in a test pipeline, link to the manifest version you tested. That preserves reproducibility when the corpus changes.
